The majority of people who play child avatars play them for reasons totally unrelated to sexual ageplay. Many are reliving happier times of their lives, or are trying to use virtual realities to "redo" parts of their lives that were bad, and still others simply just like to be light and fun. Others yet like to play child avatars because it's an -escape- from the sexual meatmarket that virtual realities (specifically SL) can be.
Those are the people who are hurt the most when people chose at do sexual ageplay, it tarnishes those of us who simply want to let our inner child out to play and explore.
Obviously, you have to follow your conscious, but I'd suggest that by keeping your outfits and skins available you're helping to push out skins and shapes that have bare genitals and you're helping to shape a more wholesome tide when it comes to skins and shapes.
By making covered skins available for free you're helping to undercut the market for other skins, and that will be a huge help to people who are engaging in legitimate age play.
In my opinion, osgrid is becoming more sexualized and I think I'm detecting a bias towards BDSM; which will make the grid hostile towards legit child avatars. I've already seen building events listed that do not allow child avatars at all.
I'm waiting to see if that's just my imagination, BUT, if it's not, and IF that's the direction that the grid will go in --you'll want to pull the child avatar items anyway.
Anyways, not only is what you saw offensive, it hurts others too in a very tangible way (by reinforcing existing prejudices).
That's what I think, feel free to consider it or to dismiss it as you see fit.
